Lillehammer Art Museum is one of the nation’s leading art museums.
The museum houses a collection consisting of approx. 1500 works by Norwegian artists dating from the 1800s and until today. The main building, designed by Snøhetta, is considered an architectural icon.
In addition to showing highlights from the collection, the museum organises several separate exhibitions a year, featuring both historical art and modern art. The museum offers a wide-ranging educational programme including guided tours, lectures and other events.
Lillehammer Art Museum is located in the center of Lillehammer, and is part of Stiftelsen Lillehammer Museum (The Lillehammer Museum Foundation), which consists of 6 different museums located in and around Lillehammer.
